Gary Briggs is a freelance visual designer and educator based in Southern California with a wealth of experience. A native of the Bay Area, Gary has worked with many groups up and down California across the summer, fall and winter seasons.  

Since aging out of the Blue Devils, Gary has spent every summer on tour teaching drum corps. He taught at Blue Devils B and Blue Knights, and from 2022-2025, he was the Visual Caption Head of Blue Devils B and an instructor at the Blue Devils.  Gary has also enjoyed working with a number of indoor percussion programs, both scholastic and independent.  He currently teaches at RCC and designs for a number of local high school drumlines. 

Gary holds a degree in Tuba Performance from CSU Long Beach and lives in Orange County, California with his wife and their dog, Mars.
